So tomorrow I leave for Rio de Janeiro on a press trip to cover Carnival that represents my last hurrah for BlackBook (the credentials couldn’t be changed in time for someone else). I plan on experiencing the whole thing like Orson Welles did, i.e. getting distracted by the locals while the suits back home chop up my masterful rough cut of The Magnificent Ambersons. Damned studio system! If you have any suggestions for other ways to fill my time then by all means let me know.
